Author Yvonne Bailey Smith – Windrush 75
Both the Boys’ and Girls’ School were fortunate
to be visited on Friday, 23rd June, by Yvonne Bailey Smith who moved to the UK as a teenager from Jamaica and has recently published her book “The Day I Fell Off My Island.” To mark Windrush 75 we invited her to speak about the arrival of Jamaican migrants to the UK and the cultural contributions they have made to our society.
