Holocaust Survivors’ Talk

Last week Jewish communities around the world gathered to remember the victims of the Holocaust on Yom HaShoah. The Girls’ School were honoured to welcome Josef Lewkowicz, author of the book “The Survivor”. The entire school watched a short clip from an upcoming documentary featuring Josef, hearing him explain his role in the capture and conviction of Nazi war criminal Amon Goeth. At 96 years old, Josef shared a message of the importance of building a happy future in the next generation rooted in Torah values. Many staff and students took the opportunity to ask for brachos from this remarkable role model of emunah. Many thanks to Rabbi Naftali Schiff for facilitating this visit.
